Lovers of Jesus & people.

Equipped for every good work.

Grounded in Christ-given identity.

The Ashford Community Church Young Adults (ACC YA) is a vibrant, authentic community growing in love with Jesus and committed to shining His light to our generation. We represent different ages, cultural backgrounds, and life stages, but we are connected by a mandate to stay grounded in our shared identities as beloved sons and daughters of Christ.

Our vision is that we live as lovers of Jesus and people, equipped for every good work and grounded in Christ-given identity. We may be young, but we are ablaze for Christ; we pray boldly and have witnessed testimonies ranging from new jobs to school acceptances to healing and financial breakthrough! We are excited to see the ways that God tangibly moves in our community.

One of the most treasured parts of our community is our intentionality in forming authentic relationships with one another. We are on fire, yes, but we also have fun! Once a month, we plan a communal event that allows us to further connect as a group. We also rally together to address the physical needs within our group, such as financial support and offering rides. Our call to love all people begins with loving each other well.

Each member of ACC YA is uniquely gifted; we desire to nurture the gifts and talents in our community so that each person excels in the spaces that God has called them to.

We would love to have you join our family. If you would like to get connected with us, please contact your ACC YA Leaders.

ON-GOING EVENTS

Blessing Falade, YA Leader

My first memory was in my dad’s church. I quite literally grew up in the church but didn’t start walking in relationship with Jesus until I was a young teen. I have always been passionate about people my age loving the Lord and walking in the ways that He has commissioned us to do. That is why it is my utmost honor to be leading the Young Adults ministry here at ACC. Things that bring me joy: encouraging, laughing with and being in community with people.

Vandilson Pinto, YA Leader

Growing up all I wanted was to be an engineer. It never crossed my mind that one day I would be in ministry, but glory unto God for ever since I surrendered my life to Jesus in 2014, He has been shaping my dreams to the point where all I desire is to dream His dreams. As a Young Adults co-leader, my passion is to help the young adults find their identity in Christ and equip them for every good work. I am beyond excited for what God has in store for this ministry.

Maria Odete, YA Leader

I was baptized in December 2009, but I only came to the knowledge of Christ in 2015 when I had an encounter with Him. I accepted the call to preach, sing, and lead people to Christ a year after. I first worked with the Young Adult Ministry at Nova Vida Church, and it was a good start for me in ministry. I am passionate about helping and influencing my generation to know more about God, and that's why I accepted the challenge to lead the Young Adults Ministry here at Ashford Community Church along with Blessing and Vandilson.
